I'LL BE ON MY WAY
Words and Music by Keith McGavern
You tell me that you want to write
You want to make some harmony.
But when you talk my tongue I bite,
Youre only for yourself I see.
You sit there and tell me all kinds of things,
That you yourself dont understand.
Its not for me to spread your own wings,
This time you make your own stand.
So if I back away, you find I dont say
Why dont you sit down and take the time to play.
Theres things to do, instead of watching you,
So if you dont mind, Ill be on my way.
Please dont think that I dont care
Im really not that kind of guy.
But when I find out you dont want to share,
I look for someone whos willing to try.
Maybe someday youll know what I mean,
When you reach that promised land.
Where all the problems you have it seems,
Will melt and become as sand.
